I love, love, love Frye! The Frye Company has been touting it's reputation for fine craftsmanship since the 1800's and it's still unmatched in my mind for durable, beautiful and well-made footwear. My Frye engineer boots are my go-to's for the Fall for exactly those reasons, and the style perfectly compliments some of my favorite pieces from Sahlia Michelle's most recent collection. You can find the below earrings on our website here and you get the Frye boots at their website, here!
There are outings that require less glitz and more substance (drinks with friends, the first date...) and there are outfits that cannot sustain the flashy bauble but require the perfect accent. For those moments, I'm loving these Bronze Leaf Hoops from Sahlia Michelle! Nearly primitive in their delicate and organic construction, these earrings are a piece of well-made jewelry for the woman who appreciates beauty in its more understated form. Remove the bronze leaves (don't forget to put them in a safe place!) from the silver hoops for another style option. Find them here!

written by Danielle LaMarre So it's been a while since our last posting--sorry guys we've been super busy revamping our online shopping site which will be live so soon! Anyways, we're thrilled about Sahlia Jewelry being featured in Portland Monthly's April fashion editorial. They did a phenomenal mashup of retro 70's glam with a modern edge. To see more pics and get the full article check out Portland Monthly.
Yes, the groundhog saw his shadow but for some reason the Pacific Northwest missed the memo and has decided to bestow ungodly amounts of rain and never-ending clouds. The bright side (hehe)? Tons of snow in the mountains that made for a magnificent wedding shoot back drop!
Thebridal piecesused in the shoot were created with raw citrine stones and sterling silver chains, all handmade by Sahlia. The photos have been featured on the national wedding blog,
The Wedding Chicks. Check em out to see more pics from this inspiration wedding shoot.

I can almost guarantee everyone has their favorite necklace that they wish could go with absolutely anything (I do at least) .... only problem is it's either too long or too short. I've recently fell in love with mydouble length torched track necklaceby Sahlia Jewelery.
It's the perfect accessory to add a little edgy glam to anything from that new cami/cardigan set to that mini dress you've had since college. Its unique colors and textures create a dramatic contrast from the everyday accessory. Plus it's like having two necklaces for the price of one (in case you needed some purchase justification) ENJOY!
We're so exited to announce that Sahlia Jewelry is officially launching our bridal line! Join us and lots of other amazing wedding vendors tomorrow night at The Art of Weddings show.
Come by our studio in the Ford Building (2505 SE 11th Ave. Portland OR, suite #352) for amazing holiday jewels and custom made gifts. Have some wine and snacks with us while you shop!
After countless times of being asked "when are you going to add some gold pieces to your collection?" I finally have an answer - now! I started with a few timeless pieces and gave them sterling silver ear hooks and tiny barbells. More to come soon...
We always use 14k gold filled wire, never gold plated! The difference is in the life of the finished piece. Gold-filled: also called rolled-gold. These jewelry items start with a base metal (like steel) and then are covered by sheets of gold in a mechanical bonding process. Effectively a thick coat of gold: the gold content is 5% or 1/20 of the total weight. Use gold-filled items for your top-of-the-line jewelry. Usually made with 14k gold, it is hard wearing. With reasonable care it will not peel or flake, and should last as long as solid 14k gold jewelry. It is safe for most people with sensitive skin Gold-plated: A base metal such as steel or brass is dipped into a bath of electroplating solution, with a lump of solid gold. When an electric current is applied, a thin layer of gold is deposited on the metal. Since the plating is quite thin, the plate (and hence the colour) on findings can wear off.
A collaborative holiday event is in the works that will combine the talents of seven jewelry designers who live and design in the Pacific Northwest. It will take place December 17th, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., in an as-of-yet undisclosed location in Portland, Oregon.
Limited edition work and collections from jewelry artists Alisha Louise, Amy Bengston, Betsy & Iya, grayling, Lauren Harkness, Sahlia Jewelry, and stone + honey will be showcased.
The evening will include complimentary artistic gift wrap and a hosted wine bar.
While perusing the good ol' fashion blog, fashionista this week, we came across a few pictures that truly intrigued us here at Sahlia Jewelry.
